Family pictures

Our friend, Jose, who is interested in photography, took some family pictures for us this weekend. It can certainly be difficult to get good pictures when you arent using your own camara and Jose did a great job while borrowing my camara to take these. My favorite is the third one and bryan's favorite is the first one. What do you think?

Dear Santa...

Jackson wrote his first letter to Santa today and was so excited to put a stamp on the envelope and mail it. Too cute! Katie also did some scribbles for Santa. Love my babies!

Baby Pictures

This little sweety was 2 weeks old when I had the priviledge to photogaph her. She was very awake, but she has beautiful eyes and she was such a sweet little model. I absolutely adore her and her entire family.

costumes

Jackson decided he wanted to be peter pan this Halloween and luckily a friend had a tinker bell costume we could borrow for Katie. I made Jackson's costume out of felt. I think it turned out pretty good if I do say so myself. It is really cold here today, but I'm still plannng to take them to safe halloween at the firestation tonight, and hopefully bryan will make it to at least some of that adventure. So without further ado, here are my two cuties all dressed up for halloween.

Last week Bryan and I took the kids out to the orchard to pick some pumpkins. Jackson and katie each got their own small pumpkins. Katie painted hers along with her legs and stomach. Jackson tried to help scrape out his but got grossed out again this year. Bryan carved a batman symbol in Jacksons for him.

We were so lucky to be able to go to louisville this past weekend and attend the temple. It was wonderful not only because its our first time being able to go since our move to Indy, but it was an amazingly special experience as our friends got their endowments and were then sealed as a family with their 2 daughters. It was beautiful, and I definitely shed a tear or two. Words cannot express how happy I am that their little family can be together forever!

Fun times

Sunday was wonderful. Not just because it was sunday and we went to church, but my kids were playing together without fighting nearly ALL morning. I got some play dough out for the kids and ran upstairs for about ten minutes. I noticed the lack of screaming and decided Jackson had probably knocked katie out or something- but nope. They were just playing together ( well, beside each other).

And as if the play dough wasnt enough, Jackson went on to play the piano and pulled a chair up for katie to sit and play with him. Again- no yelling for the duration of this activity. Best sunday ever!

We bought the kids, well, more katie, this kitchen. Jackson loves it too though. It is really fun and we have fun pretending with them.

we have been absent from reading time at the library for a loong time. But we went on tuesday and the kids had fun playing on the kid computers before story time started. The theme was spiders and then they got to make spider webs out of yarn afterwards. it was fun. I hope to start going more frequently.

here's another picture from my budding artist. He loves to draw mike wazowski still. But for this spcial picture for doris' birthday jackson drew mike and sully playing ball on the grass.

Katie has started speech therapy. We arent seeing any great leaps yet, but hopefully soon. Katie can say "up" now, and there is meaning to it. She attempts other words that we ask her to say fairly frequently, but generally they dont come out sounding much like the real thing. But she is repeating mama when asked and when we went to see mike and lacey's baby the other day she said baba for baby. I realize she is behind, but i'm so excited to see her making some progress!
