BYU Football! GO COUGARS!

We're making Jackson into a BYU cougar fan! He's adapting very well. Even Amber is getting into football this year! It's probably a good thing she's finally understanding and liking it, since it's almost inevitable that Jackson will want to play football as he gets older, with a dad like Bryan.
When Grandma and Grandpa Burrows came to visit Jackson and Amber went to 2 BYU football games with grandpa. It was a lot of fun and Jackson was very well behaved. He actually looked like he was watching the game. It was so cute!... and of course BYU won both of those games! We got a couple of cute pictures outside while granma and grandpa were visiting too. Here are a couple of them...

Solid Foods!

Jackson is now starting to eat solid foods. He loves it!!!Now the problem is trying to get him to take formula. He hates the taste of it! He has gotten sick on a soy formula and now we think he associates the taste of formula with being sick and he won't touch it, even in the smallest amounts. So we're gonna back off for a bit and try again at the end of october or start of November

Get Well!

Grandma Schaalje got a knee replacement at the start of September, just after we left. So Jackson and Amber made a surprise get-well e-mail for her to read when she got home from teh hospital. These are the pictures taht were in there...
... I Love You...
... listen to some tunes...

... relax...
...when you feel the pain, sad or blue... (they're out of order apparently)

... get lots of rest...
Mom made it thorugh surgery fine and was home within a few days. She is healing well and can get around the block pretty easily.
However, it was a bit of a gong-show for Amber's parents for a bit. Shortly after Amber's mom came home (and was unable to drive from the surgery) her dad had a gallstone attack and was hospitalized for a few days. His gallbladder was then removed a few days after he had recovered from the attack. He too is recovering well now, and says that his appetite has come back a bit now. That is a very good thing since he hasn't wanted to eat much since his treatments.

Back to Utah

We are now back in Provo. We are living on our own this year, which will be a nice change from last year. But we were shocked at how tiny our apartment is. We are living on campus in the wymoutn apartment buildings. This is by far the smallest place we have ever lived... and now we are having to squich one extra person in, who seems to have lot more things than we knew. But surprisingly everything is fitting... for now.
We have really friendly neighbours. It is a very good environment here. So besides the fact that we have to go to a laundry mat, cinder block walls, and of course the size, this place is very nice. I think we will adjust quickly.
