Surgery: successful!

Jackson had minor surgery today. We have known for over a year that he would need it, and decided to wait until we came back to Canada to go ahead with it. We had been keeping the idea of him getting surgery very quiet, and still aren't shouting it to the world. But I just wanted to let every one know that the surgery was a complete success. And although our boy is VERY grumpy and will be a bit sore, and probably unsteady for a few days, he will be just fine. ... And i couldn't resist putting up a cute picture of him in his hospital gown either.

King Jackson

One day last week Jackson decided that it was the coolest thing to wear the Becel container on his head. He put it on himself and wore it around the house for a good hour before finally ditching it. I think the strangest part about it is that jackson hates hats! So maybe the next time we go sit in the sun I'll stick a bucket on his head. At least I won't have to put sunscreen in his hair.

First Hair Cut

This past sunday, Mother's Day, I finally gave Jackson his first hair cut. I knew it was time. Mostly just the back needed cutting. It was close to 2 inches long. And he was getting a very stylish mullet. But it was sad/hard for me to cut off all his baby hair... especially when i wasn't sure how it would turn out. Here is our hair cutting adventure...

Overall, he did really well with the whole experience. Bryan kept him fairly distracted, and he liked playing with the different attachements for the trimmer.

It's a little bit hard to see because his hair is still wet, but we took off a lot of length in the back.

Jackson is one stylin' guy now. I was scared for no reason. The haircut turned out great!
