My dad stayed for about a week after Katie’s blessing. It was so wonderful to have him come. Jackson loves his “papa allya” (grandpa schaalje) so very much. Every night when he went to bed Jackson reminded us that grandpa was going to sleep in his room. And every morning they ate yogurt together. Of course Katie smiled at him, and grandpa joked about how perfectly she would fit in his saddle bag to take her back to Canada with him. I would really love it if my parents lived closer… only 3 more years of being a minimum 3 days drive or plane ride away.

Jackson got to go on his very first motor bike ride!!! I sat behind dad and held him on (he had a helmet too), and we just did a loop around manchester. Jackson was yelling to go inside as my dad backed the bike up, but as soon as we started moving forward he yelled "like it!" and soon after "faster!". haha, and when we got back he wanted to go "again now".
