I love them to bits (as you already know). I think they are adorable!
Jackson has been having eczema on his cheeks and chin and we are having a hard time getting it to go away. If you have any tips, i am all ears. We cant put cotizone on his face according to the doctor because it could bleach his skin.
Katie and jackson are starting to play a lot more together and i love watching them together. They both love the laundry basket.
Jackson got these sunglasses in a goody-bag from a friends birthday party but they are a bit girly and fit katie's face better. I tried taking them for a walk with katie wearing them and jackson had a minor melt down so he wore the girly glasses for our walk and katie got to squint. (she would have pulled them off eventually anyway)
Katie is pulling herself up to furniture. She's been doing it for a few weeks. The other day i turned around and she was standing like this. I can picture her walking a lot earlier than jackson, but maybe not. She doesnt furniture walk yet, and jackson did at about the same age (she's nearly 9 months)
I havent posted a picture of katie crawling, but she is a pro now! She started crawling at the start of January. she never did the army crawl. This is such a katie face.
This video is from when she just started crawling.
Here's Jackson paying with the airplane he made out of blocks. I was so proud of him- he designed and put it together all on his own! Up to this point he just made towers. But this day he made an airplane and a tunnel.
Katie is still not a huge fan of solid foods. Once in a while we can sneak a couple of bites in her mouth, but she does not enjoy it and does not willingly open her mouth. we've tried more finger food type things too, like those little puffs and arrowroot cookies. She will sometimes suck on them, but will make no attempt to swallow. Last night we had a break through! She ate popcorn!!! She grabbed it out of my hand and willingly put it in her mouth and swallowed. She ate it for about 20 minutes, repeatedly reaching for more. I tried feeding her those puff snacks this morning thinking they would be similar but she didnt like them again, but going back to the left over popcorn she ate more. I will make her popcorn every day if she eats it. And for those of you who know us, you know that sunday night is movie and popcorn night. Its a tradition started by my grandparents, so it was very appropriate that this is the first thing Katie started eating.
And to close on a funny note here are a couple of things Jackson has said lately. When we were driving the other day, Jackson piped up after about 5 mintues "so... how are we all doing today". Bryan and I started laughing. He sounds so grown up. Story #2: I was grabbing my stuff to shower a few days ago and jackson grabbed my bra and handed it to me and said " these are for you boo-boo's" lol. I love kids.
I love that Jackson answered Bryan in the last video - 'It is so good!" ... I love that she's eating popcorn, and I love that she is a crazy crawler already!!!!! Look at her go! What a cutie. I'm so glad that you included videos... makes me feel like I've actually seen your kids.
