Last week was Bryans spring break. We took a short trip to St. Louis. Yes, we went there last summer. But it is seriously a great place to visit. We went back to the zoo (sorry, no pictures) which is huge and FREE! This time we even found free parking. This is such a wonderful place to visit because of all the inexpensive things to do.
We made sure to get a hotel with a pool because Jackson adores swimming, and Katie needed to check it out. Since she loves, loves, LOVES, her baths we figured it would be a big hit. And after she got used to the slight chill of the water she had a blast.
We also went to the city museum (not free, but kids under 3 are so we only paid for me and Bryan). It was a really cool place to visit, but i think it would have been more enjoyable if jackson were a bit older and able to run around without as much adult supervision. This place is full of tunnels and things to climb. The outside play area is amazing! You can catch a glimpse behind the kids in a couple pictures. The entire play area is recycled/refurbished. Theres an actual gutted out (small) airplane to climb through even.
If you havent been to St. louis and you live close enough to go i definitely recommend it. Last time we also hit up the free science center, and you can park down by the arch for free too. The childrens museum there was also fantastic.
