We truly didn't expect him to start walking any time soon. Whenever we would try to encourage him by letting him walk with our fingers, he would sit down as soon as we'd let go. he seemed to have no motivation to walk solo. But last night, after we'd tried walking him between us on the ground, and had determined we were unsuccessful yet again, jackson was leaning on our chair in the living room. With Bryan just a few feet away, with outstretched arms and encouraging words, Jackson took one step and slowly another until he got to daddy.
So we decided we'd try again- and he did it! The third, fourth and fifth times we got on video (but i dont know how to load those on here so you'll have to survive with just pictures). This little man is walking clear across our living room and throught the kitchen now! He is so awesome and we are so proud of him!
I would like to give credit to little Anna Belle and Jeremiah, who are 1 and 2 months older than Jackson. We went and did pudding finger painting with them ealier that morning... they are both walking. I'm so glad jackson was inspired by them.
We had so much fun! Here are some pictures of the fun afternoon we spent upstairs.
Before the real fun began (all clean)
Jackson mostly enjoyed eating the pudding, but ended up pretty messy in the end
Yumm!!!
This was such an awesome idea! It was so much fun for everyone!
This is the final product, just before we put all the kids into the tub. They are so stinkin' adorable!!!
Jackson wasn't so fond of the splashing by kids other than himself so we didn't stay too long. But i love this tub picture! What a fun afternoon! Thanks trudy!
I'm so glad that he is walking now. It's so much fun, but they do get into everything faster with the walking. I'm glad you both had fun with the pudding. We really enjoyed having you come up. Maybe we can try another fun activity before you leave.
ReplyDeleteYay Jackson! Just wait until he starts running. That pudding finger painting is amazing. We'll have to try it sometime if I get brave enough. How fun that those 3 are so close in age and able to be such good buddies.
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo!!! I can't wait to see him walking myself in not too many days!!! Good job Jackson!
ReplyDeleteHe's growing up so fast. I forget how fast they grow. And I haven't even seen him yet. Won't be long.
