4 Months!!!

Katie is 4 months old! I forgot how fast time goes by! She is such a sweet little girl, and much more mellow than Jackson ever was- though she certainly has her moments when she "acts like a girl" and has to get her way.

It's fun to look back on my journal of Jackson and see their differences in development. Katie is rolling over onto her tummy and onto her back already and has been for a while. Jackson didnt consistently  roll either way until he was about 6 months old. On the other hand, jackson was always very well coordinated and started reaching and grabbing for things before 3 months, whereas katie is just mastering the skill of holding onto things and will only spastically try to get her arm to go in the general direction of an object she wants.

Katie is only having 2 naps/day already! and if i'm lucky they will be up to 2 hours long, but are usually closer to the 1 hour mark. This leaves me with very little time to accomplish much since Jackson has decided he no longer needs a nap (though he does have quiet time, which is considerably shorter than nap time was). Jackson started doing this when we started potty training him

Katie is sleeping for about 11 hours at night, but i'm still getting up with her on average 2 times.

She is actually a really smiley girl now, though you wouldnt guess it from the pictures. she gets very distracted when a camara is in her face and wont smile back at me.

I'm glad that she is still looking like my side of the family so people know that i had something to do with her making, whereas Jackson is just a younger twin of his daddy.

Jackson loves her and always has to give her a hug and kiss goodnight. And he loves to lay beside her and watch her mobile in her crib with her. He thinks it is hilarious when she grabs at him.

We love you miss Katie!

  1. Where have I been? I missed all three posts until today. What a beauty you have! She is changing too fast for me to keep up. Thanks for being great with lots of photos for me to enjoy watching her & Jackson grow! Hard to believe that I haven't met her yet.
