Puffy Paint

I found a great recipe for microwave puffy paint on (where else) pinterest. Its super easy, and we just used old diaper boxes to put the paint on. Jackson helped mix it and then had a blast watching it puff up in the microwave. It was a fun way to spend an hour of our day while Katie was napping.

All if takes is
1/2 C flour
2 tsp salt
2tsp baking powder
water to make a paste
add food coloring
and happy painting

We used a paint brush, spoons, a squirt bottle and q-tips to make our designs. Another idea that came with the puffy paint was to make rubbing boards with it. Thats what the ABC and shape boards are for. (rubbing board: place paper over top and rub with crayons to make a disign on the paper- fun and easy) Its great that my activity today actually made the supplies for my activity tomorrow :)

You are so lucky to have a mommy that gets such great ideas. What fun you are having. I'll have to pass this recipe on to the other grandkids.
