Easter Eggs and Eating

Yesterday we dyed easter eggs during Katie's nap. We cracked a few and got some pink dye on the counter that just wont come off, but it was worth the fun.

Although, now we have over a dozen hard boiled eggs and nobody in our family who will eat them.

Now to share my crazy exciting news about Katie... She eats!!! We have finally progressed from just go-gurt tubes to baby fruit purees. So far she has eaten mango, babana, apple sauce, peaches and half a jar of squash. But she really did not enjoy that one, so I think I may just try mixing a bit of veggies in with the puree. She is even eating baby cereal mixed with yogurt for breakfast! We are so ecstatic! It really seemed like this day would never come and I would be having to give her formula forever! We are so grateful our prayers were answered and at nearly 10.5 months Katie is finally eating solid food!

Here's a little video of Jackson feeding Katie. And yes, he licks the spoon at the end, he likes to share... what can I say.

  1. Hurray!I hate how feeding children seems like it should be easy, but it rarely is.
    Glad she's turned a corner!
